A French
Napolean III Carved Oak Double Door Bookcase. This bookcase
has a broken pediment crest centered by a wild boar's head and
flanked to either side by a circular turned and block finials above
double molded glazed doors revealing two molded shelves, the lower
section having outset square corners pilasters flanking double
paneled cabinet doors, one with two gaming fish , the other door
with a relief carved slain pheasant (?) and raised on bun feet. The
finish and hardware are original.
